A seminar for parents
Aim of the seminar:
To provide information to the parents
of teenagers on positive mental health, mental illness, drugs and alcohol,
suicide and the supports available to young people and their families
Objectives of the seminar:
- To create a supportive environment where parents can learn factual information about mental health issues.
- To provide parents with an introduction to some of the more common mental illnesses experienced by young people.
- To provide parents with an opportunity to ask questions relating to mental health and substance use.
- To gauge interest for workshops on specific mental health topics.
